NAMM

Ben Harper and Joel

Joel's new acoustic bass.
John Mayer
Ian and his friend Ash.

Joel, Ian and I had a big weekend. Ian and I drove to Indy for some Goshen friend time and to see a concert. Ian hung out with the boys while I went to see Patty Griffin with my friends. The guys had a fun time with Ian trying to translate his toddler talk. He says titty tat instead of kitty cat and they thought that was the funniest thing! Ian did so well in the car, so it was a stress free trip for me.
Joel went to California to the NAMM show. Wikipedia says that, The NAMM Show is one of the largest music products trade shows in the world. Held every January in Anaheim, California, USA the show brings together all facets of the music products industry to reveal new musical instruments/products and ideas to help music products retailers and manufacturers become more successful. More than 80,000 NAMM Members and guests attended the January 2006 show. The NAMM Show is not open to the general public.
Anyways, he went there with Phil Keaggy and had a great time. Joel had some free time and was able to talk with a couple of A&R guys from different companies. He landed a 100% endorsement with Warwick basses and received the bass in the picture for free. He also hooked up with some amp people too, but i forget who.
The highlight of his trip for me is when he met Ben Harper ( a favorite singer of mine for those of you who are out of the loop :)) Also he was able to see John Mayer sing too.
That is about it from Nashville. We had another open house yesterday and only one person showed up. Let's hope we can sell this house soon!!
